
Refugee Women Academy
Refugee Women Academy, the new action implemented under Piraeus Bank’s EQUALL programme in strategic partnership with Odyssea, is addressed to vulnerable refugee women and focuses on their vocational training in tourism professions aiming to assist their integration into the labour market. The Refugee Women Academy is an initiative of Piraeus Bank, in close collaboration with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, in Greece.
The first cycle of the programme will run between July and December 2023.


Action objectives
- Empower the participants to build self-confidence and self-awareness, so that they can unleash their potential
- Equip the participants with professional and technical skills that will assist their integration to the labour market, especially in the tourism sector
- Guide the participants towards a career that matches their personality and ambition
Conditions for participation
Eligible to participate in the Refugee Women Academy programme are women who are refugees/asylum seekers, reside in the Attica region and have a basic knowledge of the greek language.
For applicants who do not speak greek, Refugee Women Academy, under EQUALL programme, offers a three-month supplementary greek language course, focusing on the necessary vocabulary to work in the tourism sector.
