“The Greek Diaspora supports the professional rehabilitation of young people in Greece”

Odyssea and the Hellenic Youth Initiative (THI) join forces for young people.

Odyssea in collaboration with the Hellenic Initiative (THI) launches an innovative programme aimed at integrating vulnerable young people into the labour market.

More specifically, the Hellenic Initiative, which brings together and allocates resources to the Greek society and economy from the Greek diaspora and philhellenes worldwide, supports Odyssea’s efforts by offering 100 young people the opportunity to be trained and acquire modern skills in order to join the labour market.

The beneficiaries of the project will receive vocational training and employment promotion services to integrate them into the labour market through linking them to education, motivation for development and vocational rehabilitation.

The Academy of Odyssea

Odyssea was created in 2016 with a vision to build a world where all young people thrive by realising their full potential, ensuring they have equal opportunities in society, harnessing the power of knowledge for employment and personal development.

In order to empower vulnerable young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEETS), people on low incomes as well as refugees, and migrants, Odyssea has created Odyssea Academy.

Odyssea Academy offers vocational training courses, as well as social and digital skills training. Courses are offered either online or in person in its state-of-the-art facilities, which span 600m2 and are specially designed to simulate real professional workplaces. The training spaces are fully equipped enabling experiential learning and offering a truly rewarding learning experience to our beneficiaries. Odyssea Academy was recently awarded the New European Bauhaus 2022 award.

Odyssea & THI

The two organisations have been linked in the past through the Venture Impact Awards , an award that helped Odyssea develop the digital AI tools embedded in Odyssea’s new employability platform.
