MDM Greece announced the launch of its collaboration with Odyssea

Médecins du Monde Greece announced the launch of its collaboration with Odyssea, in the framework of the implementation of actions to strengthen the social integration of vulnerable social groups. The aim of these actions is to support the beneficiaries of Médecins du Monde in accessing the job market, through an integrated system of referrals to Odyssea’s educational programs.

In addition, the cooperation focuses on supporting displaced persons from Ukraine seeking protection in Greece. Médecins du Monde social workers work together with Odyssea consultants and trainers to provide the best possible support to the beneficiaries. The first information seminars already took place at the MdM’s Homeless Shelter and at the “A Step Forward” Open Accommodation Center that hosts women and mothers of asylum seekers with their children.

The cooperation between the two organizations started with the provision of a mobile medical unit by Odyssea to Médecins du Monde to meet the needs in the wider border region of #Ukraine and #Romania, while the unit will also be used for Médecins du Monde’s health activities in remote populations living in mountainous and island regions of the country.
