Iro Baka is an ambitious and results-oriented professional with an extensive background in the Financial Services sector in the UK. She has worked as a senior consultant in financial services departments focusing on regulatory and risk compliance, business restructuring and digital transformations across the banking, government and insurance sector focusing on financial modelling and systems. Since 2021, Iro has returned back to Greece, gaining experience in the NGO sector as the project manager of an integration programme, which focused on supporting refugees and migrants in entering the Greek labour market. Iro managed within 1.5years to grow the programme, from 200 to 900 beneficiaries, expanded the team from 2 to 14 people and developed different programme pillars, based on the market gaps (i.e. entrepreneurial). Her role varied, from setting in place the main processes and “systems” of the programme, to doing career counselling, organising and delivering employability skills workshops and connecting with employers. Iro loves collaborating with people, encouraging a “thinking out of the box” mentality and openness in all communications.
