For the third year running, our Thessaloniki team joined Greece's largest gathering of civil society organisations to meet visitors, sign up new participants and reconnect with partners.
Connected We Stand is a pan-European, multi-themed volunteering festival dedicated to civil society. It is the largest exhibition of non-governmental organisations in Greece, and its main aim is to engage young people and bring them closer to volunteering. Alongside the NGO exhibition, the programme includes a pop-up market and swap bazaars, sports and recreational activities, dance performances, workshops for adults and activities for children, art and photography exhibitions, panel discussions, an awards ceremony recognising people and organisations with a significant social or environmental impact, and a concert.
On Saturday, Odyssea’s Youth Center in Thessaloniki took part in the festival for the third consecutive year. Our team met many visitors throughout the day, introduced them to our services and welcomed new registrations for our Academy and Employability programmes.
The festival was also a chance to reconnect with long-standing partners and to meet new organisations working towards positive change in their communities.
We would like to thank IASIS for inviting us and for once again organising such an inspiring and enjoyable event.
