The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and Odyssea are implementing the second cycle of the “Educational Routes” program

The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Odyssea, is continuing the “Educational Routes” program for a second consecutive year, helping to bridge an important gap in career guidance and training for vocational high school (EPAL) students in Greece.

Using its innovative mobile vocational training unit, Odyssea offers free workshops to EPAL students on career planning, training, and employability skills. This program helps young people make informed choices about their future, improves their job prospects, and builds a stronger, more skilled workforce by connecting education with today’s labor market needs.

In the first cycle of the program, from January to December 2024, Odyssea visited seven vocational high schools in Central and Northern Greece. A total of 44 workshops were held, focusing on career guidance, training, and networking, with more than 1,300 students participating. In addition, at least 14 teachers received training and learned how to use the educational kit provided by Odyssea.

The feedback from both students and teachers has been overwhelmingly positive. With a satisfaction rate of 93%, many schools have requested the continuation of the program.

Responding to this call, Odyssea has already visited five more EPAL schools since the beginning of 2025, continuing its effort to open up new opportunities for young people across the country. There are also plans to expand the program with a second mobile unit to reach even more remote areas in Northern Greece.
