Cookies allow us to recognize your browser, remember certain settings (like your language preference) and gather information about how our site is used.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential site functionality: These cookies help the website work correctly, for example by remembering your cookie preferences or enabling navigation between pages. They are required for the website to operate and cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics and performance: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how visitors use the website – such as how many people visit, which pages are most popular, how long users stay on each page and what type of device or browser they are using. This data helps us understand usage patterns and improve the website’s structure and content.

Google Analytics does not identify you personally. IP addresses are anonymized before being stored, and the data is used only for statistical analysis.

We do not use cookies for

Data Security

Odyssea takes the security of your personal data very seriously. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include, for example, using secure servers and encrypted connections for our website, restricting access to personal data only to personnel and service providers who need to use it, and following industry best practices for information security. However, please understand that no website or Internet transmission is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We therefore encourage you to also take precautions, such as using secure networks and devices when submitting sensitive information. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy and in accordance with applicable laws.

  • If you register for a course but do not ultimately enroll (e.g. if no spots are available or you decide not to proceed), we will keep your data only for a short period to manage your application or inform you of alternative opportunities. After that, it will be deleted from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe.
  • If you do enroll and participate, your data will be retained for the duration of the course and for a reasonable period afterward. This allows us to issue certificates, track outcomes, and meet any necessary reporting or auditing obligations. Personal identifiers will be removed or anonymized once they are no longer required. However, some core information (such as attendance or certificate records) may be kept longer as part of our educational archive or to respond to future verification requests.

In some cases, we may be required by law or donor agreements to retain certain data for a longer period – for example, for financial reporting or compliance audits. If you withdraw your consent or request deletion of your data, we will honor your request unless legal obligations or overriding legitimate interests require otherwise.
