Piraeus Bank in collaboration with Odyssea implements the 3rd cycle of the “SKILLS 4 ALL” action

Piraeus Bank, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Odyssea, implements, for the third consecutive year, the “SKILLS 4 ALL” programme. The programme is addressed to young people from vulnerable groups and focuses on their vocational training, aiming at their integration into the labour market, taking into account modern social needs and market requirements.

In particular, through the “SKILLS 4 ALL” action, Piraeus, in cooperation with Odyssea, invests in training in sectors with an increased demand for human resources, such as the tourism and construction sectors. Through this initiative, participants acquire valuable knowledge and practical experience to dynamically enter the labour market.

The objectives of the action for the beneficiaries are:

  • to guide them towards a career that matches their personality and ambitions,
  • training to enable them to reach their full potential,
  • acquiring professional and technical skills that will enhance their job prospects.

The 3rd cycle of “SKILLS 4 ALL” concerns the training and vocational rehabilitation of 100 young people aged 17-40 years old, from vulnerable social groups such as the unemployed, young people on low incomes, illiterate, heads of single-parent families, immigrants, people with disabilities, etc.

More specifically, the action focuses on two main axes:

  • Vocational training in the specialities: Electrician, Plumber, CNC Operator, Refrigeration, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technician, Computer and Network Support Technician, Automation Technician, Bartender, Barista and Digital Marketing in Hospitality.
  • Interface with the labour market, especially in sectors where there is a staffing need in the specialty they are acquiring.

SKILLS 4 ALL” was first held in 2023, had a duration of one year and included a total of six vocational training courses for the specialisations: Catering and Service, Kitchen Assistant, Barista, Barista, Electrician, Plumber and Carpenter. A total of 100 people benefited from the programme, of which 45% found employment. In 2024, the programme continued with the inclusion of new specialisations, such as: Passive Building Technician and CNC Operator. 100 people also participated in the programme, of which 59% found a job.

“SKILLS 4 ALL” is implemented in the framework of Piraeus’ Corporate Responsibility program “Equall – For a Society of Equal People” announced in March 2022 and is part of the Vulnerable Social Groups pillar.
